Fulfillment Continues
about 3 years ago – Sun, Jan 17, 2021 at 06:53:43 AM

Hello everybody!

Several of you have received your order and are sending me comments and encouragement. Thank you! Hammerdog is a business but we run primarily on our love for games and the gaming industry. When we make you happy with one of our products - and you tell us - you are truly giving us what we need to succeed. So again, thank you.

Some of you "Christmas" folks received your order with a minor error, and a few of you still haven't received your order. Hang in there! I'm seeing that there are clearly regions more backed up than others (PA *WHAT* is going on?). If you need me to track your package please LMK but I won't be able to do it until Monday (daddy duties call). If you have a problem with your order, just reach out to me via Kickstarter.

We are of course currently shipping non-Christmas orders and some of you US folks should be receiving yours very soon. International customers - best distract yourself for a while. A package I sent to Canada (from the US) on December 15th, arrived there this past Wednesday. It was mailed priority and should have gotten there in time for Christmas. I shudder to think what will happen to those packages going to Europe and Aus/NZ. Either way international folks, you'll get tracking when you ship.

Quick Warning

Folks, the World's Greatest Screen is a vinyl product that can absolutely split, crack, and break if it gets too cold. PLEASE MAKE SURE you let your screen get to room temperature before you open it. Every winter I lose a few screens to the cold and I already have a report from a backer that their screen arrived broken. So please be careful.

VTT Update

We were hoping to deliver this product to you already but immediately after the KS ended, Ivan had a few crises hit him back-to-back and it took him away from programming (not the least of which was his mother being near the earthquake in Croatia that happened on Dec 29). Everything is OK now but Ivan won't be back to work on these until Monday. In the meantime all the environments are done for 5e, and if you are Jonesing to get into these, we may be able to get a playtest version to you. Just let us know!

That's it for now folks! All my best,

Danny

Fulfillment Continuing This Week - 2 Day Delay
about 3 years ago – Mon, Jan 04, 2021 at 05:39:13 PM

Happy New Year Everybody!

Two bits of data for you today. First, Christmas folks should start getting packages this week. You may recall a delayed shipment from the printer that I mentioned on the last update. Those did arrive but unfortunately, there were errors on a few sheets and I had to get them redone (the errors were on OUR part, not the printers). If you are in the USA, and don't have your "Christmas" package by Friday, please let me know.

Second, fulfillment for non-Christmas folks will start this week. It will be a bit slow to start as I chose not to use a 3rd party fulfillment house for this. Most of you are unconcerned about the timing on this, but I thought I'd let you know anyways.

That's it for now folks. Looking forward to putting these in your hands. Here's to 2021!

Shipping Update - Christmas Chaos
over 3 years ago – Mon, Dec 21, 2020 at 09:27:04 PM

Folks, I'm sorry to say that things did not go our way last week. A snowstorm on the east coast of the US cancelled a critical UPS pickup of our inserts and as a result, I am missing several of them. Even expediting them failed to speed things up. It appears the snowstorm created too much stress on an already overburdened shipping system. I'm very sorry.

As I'm sure some of you are aware, the post office is reporting massive backups across the country. I entertained allowing those of you with XMas presents to switch to UPS but it was much more expensive and would have required me to rebill you for freight. Add to that the fact that of my last 2 UPS orders, one went AWOL for 5 days (delivered to the wrong address), and the last one was delivered by a contractor in a mini van rather than UPS themselves. So even the couriers are not doing so hot either. Although I didn't guarantee Christmas delivery, please understand that I feel badly that I couldn't make it work. I've been shipping during the holidays every year for the past 20 and I am simply floored how bad things are atm (a customer I shipped on Nov 30th got their order last Friday).

If any of you would like me to produce an "IOU" for your friend or loved one, please let me know. I can email you an image of what your bought for them so that they have something to hold on to while the order ships. I will still prioritize XMas orders and continue to ship according the plan in the last update, so I would expect them to start landing mid to late next week.

So once again, please accept my apologies if you were hoping for your order by XMas. But do let me know if you would like that IOU.

Also, if anybody is running a holiday game and wants to use the Stretch Goal Inserts (Santa, Krampus, Snow Queen, The Pan), please let me know. I'd be happy to shoot you a PDF of them so that you can get your game on.

Despite the negative news for some of you, I hope you have a pleasant and happy holiday. All my best to you and yours during this season.

Shipping Timeline
over 3 years ago – Wed, Dec 16, 2020 at 08:30:55 PM

Hello Everybody! Things are coming together nicely for us to begin shipping soon. Some of our suppliers are struggling to get us things on time but we are VERY CLOSE to having what we need to start. I anticipate the Christmas Orders will start going out on Friday which means that USA customers *should* receive them in time to wrap them into little bundles of joy. That said, please understand that we will not be able to get orders to customers outside of the USA in time for the holidays. We tried, but things just didn't come in fast enough to make that possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Timeline

Here's an anticipated timeline which could be impacted by our suppliers, and of course, the holidays themselves.

  •  Thursday, December 18th: We will lock addresses in BackerKit.
  •  Friday, December 18th: We will charge credit cards for any outstanding balances.
  •  Friday, December 18th: We begin shipping orders to USA customers that stated they wanted them by X-Mas. We will stagger-ship beginning with those of you in the 3-day ship zone, then the 2-day, and finally the 1-day. Anticipated delivery for these orders is Wednesday December 23rd at the latest.
  •  Monday, December 21st: We will begin shipping orders to customers OUTSIDE the USA that stated that they wanted them by X-Mas.
  •  Wednesday, December 23rd: We will begin shipping all remaining orders.

For Those Who Like Project Trivia

Here's a couple of random bits of information for your digestive pleasure.

  • The ceramic magnets we got in from China are SUPER STRONG and the stickers we got in for them are EXCELLENT. Plus, the magnet receptive panels are STELLAR. All-in-all this part of the project turned out much better than I'd anticipated. Those of you that bought MAGNET POWER and the MAGNET PACK should be very satisfied.
  • As I sat at home one day I received notification that our "Tome of Inserts" (binders) had arrived at my door. But when I checked - nothing. I'm happy to announce that after only *5* days of full-on-panic the Tomes have been found and I have them in hand. I'll thank the Christmas Spirit for bringing those back to me, and/or the fact that the person that received them on their doorstep didn't know what to do with dozens upon dozens of binders! Anyways, I figured some of you would be amused by that.

That's all I've got folks. I hope you are all doing well and looking forward to this product. I can't wait to get your feedback on it!

Jing Deluxe
over 3 years ago – Sat, Dec 05, 2020 at 03:29:41 PM

When I was a kid, a hamburger "Deluxe" meant it came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. I was always excited when my mother allowed me to order one.

I present to you Jing Deluxe. Those of you who ordered this version are going to be as excited as I was to eat that hamburger.*

Enjoy!
